Kendall Jenner is ‘not proud’ to admit she is addicted to social media

Kendall Jenner is one of the most followed stars on social media with the star amassing 163 million followers on Instagram alone.

Her posts are often liked millions of times. In 2015, Kendall’s picture of her lying down with her hair splayed out into hearts was the most liked post on Instagram.

But she believes that craving likes can cause an addiction and she says this is a downside of the social media platforms.

Speaking on a new episode of Vogue’s Open Minded: Unpacking Anxiety series, the 25-year-old said: “My relationship with social media is a bit addictive right now, which I don’t like and I’m not proud to say that.

“But I also feel like that’s something that probably most of us can relate to.”

And she says this can have a huge effect on a person’s mental health, especially for those who use the platforms to promote their work.

“I don’t like that I feel the need to have social media in the first place,” Jenner said. “There really is no escaping it.”

She continued: “Something that boils my blood, that really frustrates me and I think upsets me the most is when it’s someone claiming a false narrative for me.
“The Internet, I guess, bases things off of such small moments with no context. They don’t know the before or the after and they’ll take that and run with it and then completely judge you off of this one little thing.”
And the supermodel admits that the criticism she receives online can be extreme.

She added: “I have moments of feeling like I’m breaking or feeling like I can’t take it anymore because sometimes it does feel like…I can never do anything right.”
