Zhenoboy was born in Nigeria in the early 2000s. He was birthed to Southern parents in Lagos. He spent his formative years living in Lagos city with his parents and siblings.

He comes from an illustrious family who are well known for their good moral values and philanthropic acts. He was raised in the Christian faith by his parents, who ensured that he became familiar with the teachings of the Bible from a young age.

Zhenoboy had decided early on that he wanted to make music professionally and chose to specialize in mainstream music as opposed to gospel music.

Influenced by leading music acts such as Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Olamide, he began composing Afropop and Afrobeats songs in the comfort of his parents’ house and hostel room in the school.

Within months, he had greatly improved his songwriting ability and began visiting studios around his university to record his songs. He quickly forged a relationship with many sound producers in Lagos and Ile-Ife, who admired his talent as a musician.

Despite the busy schedule of being an undergraduate, Zhenoboy still found time to make music. He gave his passion a top priority and this paved off for him. Because he soon became a famous face in the OAU music community and started to receive collaboration requests and invitations to perform at shows held at the university.

Zhenoboy began to record covers of popular songs that he posted on his social media pages to foster his career growth. In April 2021, he recorded and released the cover of Felony by Ckay. He released the cover of Jowo by Davido on the 14th Of October 2021. Five days later, he dropped the cover of Peru by Fireboy DML on the 19th Of October 2021.

On the 12th Of April 2022, Zhenoboy dropped his highly-anticipated single titled African Beauty. The song was produced by Blaise Beatz, while Michael Synx handled the mixing. The visuals for the single were shot by Pharouk Damilola Films and released on the same day.
